Motivational speaking

  • A speaker who makes speeches or delivers with the intention to motivate or inspire the audience is a “motivational speaker” or “Inspirational speaker.” Introduction Usually these speakers have a reputation as an expert on the subject in hand. They encourage the people or audience in a way that they start to look at things from a very different perspective and to become more attentive to their own talents and abilities. Such speakers may attempt to challenge or transform their audiences. A good example could be taken from large business or companies who hire motivational speakers in order to communicate common strategies with clarity, to ensure that the future success can be seen by the employees in a positive light or to put and allocate resources altogether in the right direction. What does a Motivational speaker do? A pre-define objective of a speaker is to change individuals significantly on an enthusiastic or potentially mental level, and to enable them to make some sort of experts or individual change in their lives and inside themselves. Individuals usually tend to center around the entirety of their issue, and the motivational speaker will assist a large of people with focus on the numerous open doors rather, by utilizing any number or powerful discourse strategies to rouse and propel. A speaker might be hired to speak as special guests and other travel a planned circuit of speaking engagements. The popular ones may also write encouraging and stimulating books, songs as poetry and appear on large platforms such as TV. All motivational speakers relate their very own involvements to a group of people to associate with them, which implies they can originate from any sort of foundation and utilize those thoughts or ideas to motivate others. Not very often people assess their life experiences to distinguish if those experiences could be helpful to others. A motivational speaker is always thinking about their own life or reflecting experiences that they had to perceive what evidence or material could be useful to the people they’re directed to. They speak or deliver in various parts of the world like school, organizations meeting rooms, community centers, gatherings and auditorium for music. There are a very few motivational speakers within different area of expertise, here are a few mentioned below: 1. Personal development This is the kind of speaker that is most regularly thought of when "motivational speaker" is said. They move and guide audience members to discover reason and importance in their life. They may give chats on inspiration, motivation, or beating difficulty, which thusly encourages individuals to make a move and see the world or their circumstance from another point of view. 2. Businesses These kinds of speakers give support and direction to business groups at different levels, from sales representatives to official chiefs. Business speakers more often than not have involvement in business and can share their own particular stories of accomplishment (and disappointment). They develop excitement, enable groups to build up a typical reason, and move them to enhance their work. 3. Youth mentor The objective of a young mentor is to give teenagers some positive direction and an ability to read and acknowledge a sense of direction for their developmental years. They would like to motivate youngsters to lead vigorous, determined and striving lives, which may incorporate themes like considering school important, finding their purpose in life, learning hard, and figuring out how to interface with others steadily. They may address youngsters at schools, religious temples, civic centers, and an assortment of different locations. 4. Community These types of speakers give motivational speeches or conversation about the vital social and community concerns or problems. Their aims are to teach and educate the audience and give them the ability to take positive action, or they may bring people together for a good cause. A speaker could speak through various platforms he or she is not bound to follow one format for motivational speaking which is just speaking verbally. “Actions could speak louder than words”. Although this is not it, a speaker could choose to educate people or bring awareness among them through lyrical music, poetry, articles, books etc. The speaker that I have chosen to write about is ‘IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE’. Felipe Andres Coronel who is born in February 19th, 1978) better identified by the stage name IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, is an American hip-hop artists, humanitarian, activist, revolutionist and a motivational speaker. Most of his lyrics focus on provocative issues in worldwide politics. His poetry is largely commentary on issues such as politics, socialism, class, struggle, poverty, religion, government, imperialism, economics and institutional racism. Coronel is Peruvian and was conceived in a military healing facility in Lima. He is of for the most part Amerindian plunge, albeit additionally has Spanish, French and African ancestry. His family migrated to Harlem, New York in 1980. During his high school years, he was captured different circumstances due to a limited extent to what he has said was "narrow minded and puerile" conduct. He went to Hunter College High School on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Not long after enlisting in Pennsylvania State University, he was captured and accused of ambush related offenses because of his association in a fight between kindred understudies. The charges coming from this occurrence prompted him being detained for a year. Subsequent to being paroled, he took political science classes at Baruch College in New York City for two semesters at the command of his dad, who enabled Coronel to live with him on the condition that he goes to school. Honing his rapping aptitudes in prison, and unfit to discover a nominal wage-paying work after his discharge, he started offering his music in the city of New York and fighting with MCs. This, combined with his triumphs in various free-form rap rivalries of the New York underground hip hop scene, for example, Rocksteady Anniversary and Braggin Rites, prompted his image for being a ferocious Battle MC. His music career started in early 2000’s at a mass level. His first two albums as Revolutionary volume 1 and 2 came out really good without any assistance or a help of a record label instead he earned money to produce these albums. IM is the only rapper in history to have a “Hip-Hop Quotable” while being unsigned. Another album as ‘Point Of No Return’ was launches in the early month’s year 2005. Between 2005 and 2007 IT began to work on 3 more albums as The Middle Passage, the 3rd world and The Martyr. He was also featured on several movie soundtracks. Charitable Work Immortal Technique visits prisons to speak to youth and working with immigrant rights activists and raising money for children’s hospitals overseas. He created a writing grant program for high school students as well. In June 2008, Immortal Technique partnered with Omeid international, a non-profit human rights organization, and labeled the work as “The Green Light Project”. With the profits of the album the 3rd World, he travelled to Kabul, Afghanistan to help Omeid build an orphanage without any corporate or external funding. The orphanage having been successfully established currently houses over 20 orphaned children from Kabul. Music Theme The music he makes is very personal, passionate and tells a story of sacrifice. There are a lot of historical and political references. He always tries to reflect real life in his music or poetry and go beyond experience of the inner-city ghetto of America. He likes to have multiple dimensions in his music. It’s a very essential thing to have multiple dimensions in any code of life. He always thinks the voice of reason is great to have. He speaks and refers to more about reality in life. He further sees UK having a rich culture of immigrants who are coming from Africa and Asia and share experiences that are so unique, it’s only right that they document it and recount their struggles too. He adds, without that diversity everyone is going to end up like they did in the States, and hopes it never happens. He in his music tells why resistance is used against his voice. He blames it on the industry by telling that there are forces within the industry that see him as threat for raising voice against oppression in the world. He says they don’t want people to hear about Palestine, slavery or torture. They want us to just dance, sing and smile and pretend that the world is OK. According to his beliefs he thinks the music industry sees hip-hop as a sheer entertainment rather than a voice for the public or against oppression and socio-political movements carried out for personal interests of the Politian’s. He thinks entertainment can be used for many things: to inspire and educate but also to pacify to keep people stupid and preoccupied with things that aren’t important. Which is what is being done here according to his perspective which is why he tells everyone to wake up in his songs and check the actual imagery of the world and what is going on around here. He has a bunch of qualities such as he does not spare anyone from criticism nor does he ever try to tear anyone down for their race, faith, sex etc. The music he make has a very resounding message to everyone which is, that somewhere along the way us, as a species of people, started picking what was ‘good for business’ rather than what was good for the people. The first ten articles of The Constitution—or rather the Bill of Rights—which was the benchmark of this supposedly free society, was violated when it came to addressing the needs of the first Americans. The human beings turned into property by this corrupt state and are now being violated again, not by the people themselves but rather the powers that be which find themselves in a position which is much harder to deprive us of those guaranteed rights. A Revolutionary thinks outside of the box, while staying connected to the people still trapped inside one. He has achieved a small part of that. However, to some extent he can also be a bad influence on little kids because he swears a lot in his songs and poetry. Also, there is a lot aggressiveness and anger in his songs. But he counters that by saying, if someone shot your mother you would be angry. But would you be wrong for being angry? No, he’s been criticized for the most ridiculous things, that his music is abrasive. He says the truth is hard to swallow by many as the world is going to tear you apart. He says one should not be offended by the abusive language used. They should rather be offended by seeing dozens of children in Gaza who has had his skin burned off by white phosphorus. They should be offended by seeing the graves of civilians that are there because they are the "collateral damage" of a drone strike in Afghanistan or Pakistan. They should be offended when they see people perverting Christianity, Islam or Judaism for their own political purposes so they can justify taking land or killing people in the name of something. A few references from his songs where he has delivered a very strong message to the audiences are mentioned here: • Immortal Technique (The 3rd world) • Immortal Technique (No point of return) • Immortal Technique (The Cause of Death) • Immortal Technique (Bin Laden) • Immortal Technique ( Dance with the Devil) He as an artist, revolutionist or activists never shies from anything. He believes that as a human we are all works in progress. If he can get some constructive criticism, one is helping him grow as a human being.
