NBA 2K20 is the worst series game since NBA 2K8. It had very 2k22 mt little originality in terms of gameplay. It was like the developers took NBA 2K19 and painted it. Then they released the game under the name NBA 2K20. The only thing that was changed within the game was the quantity of ads that were displayed over MyCareer and the Park. I am confident that NBA 2K could be a quality game; the problems that must be addressed aren't too major. All of the improvements suggested can enhance the game in a whole. 2K is a solid starting point but it is in need of some improvement.
Player Likenesses Classic teams have been a part of 2K since. There have been some problems with classic teams through the years, however there is a massive problem with licensing for player likenesses. NBA 2K must pay a fee to a former player each year to allow them to use their likeness within the game. Some players are not willing to allow their image to be utilized for the purpose of playing. 2K has never been able to reach satisfactory financial terms with any of these players. This means that classic teams often aren't equipped with the tools to differentiate them.
The Seven Seconds or Fewer Suns are prime examples of incompletion. Joe Johnson is not on the team. Johnson was a vital scoring option for Phoenix and averaged 17.1 point per game for Suns. The absence of Johnson will make it useless to pick the Suns, especially in online games where there is a lot of competition. The Phoenix Suns in 1993 made the NBA Finals behind Charles Barkley's efforts. This team was great and featured Charles Barkley at the peak of his career. Barkley's asking price is not enough to cover 2K's cost, and the 1993 Suns have been dropped from the team.
2K Sports need to come to financial terms with retired players, and integrate their image into the game. This will help complete the traditional teams and will allow 2K Sports to add new great units into the game. The list of excluded players is lengthy, however there are some notable names who top the list: Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Rasheed Wallace, Metta World Peace, and Lamar Odom.
