But yea in regards OSRS Gold phishing some more actions may have to be accepted, these malicious groups are advancing their ways to capture unsuspecting victims increasingly these days. I have even seen some poor attempts to phishing being submitted on this sub that result in fake forums and I am glad they have been eliminated before anybody fell victim.
The real problem with phishing posts may also be the spam that the sub will eventually get, phishing emails are sent in a wave to different emails of possible players, let's say like 10% of them have a reddit account, they will want to warn everyone else from the attempt and so there'll be many articles looking the same, all which can be oblivious it's been submitted earlier. It can eventually get dull. Which then can lead other people to dismiss a fictitious clueless player who is asking whether it's real or not, that is the reason why I suggested an automatic response of some type, a small warning to take caution or something like this. Also thanks for clarifying that the email to forward phishing mails has become over, I knew of this forum thread, but not the fact that they stopped the email.
I'm not sure that sums up the planned message. My previous comment explains why these two changes have not been made together with some information. The first being that Runescape is for its RuneScape community as a whole (not only RS3), and the second being that automatic filtering for this type of post was tried and found not to be possible to accurately accomplish. We're open to suggestions that could be possible to implement without detracting from the point of this subreddit and its own community.
I mean, yeah your prior remark lays out exactly why the communities suggestions, in your opinion, are inferior to the system you have set up currently. If anything the opinion represented by the OP are far more in line with this'vision' of this subreddit (wanting to include both RS3 and OSRS (that in itself is silly being they've seperate content, dev teams etc. but thats like my view man)) by saying your articles has a home here but when its regarding anything in specificity to go elsewhere, similar to the way the Reddit FC is/was run.
So rather than tuning ity'all yanked on it? Tell me again how your staff thinks your system isn't fine in comparison with community ideas. Let's have a thought experiment while I've got your time.
