    Ramadan the Holy Month

The month of Ramadan the nineth month of Islamic calendar, worldwide the month of fasting for Muslims. This month was made obligatory during the month of Shaban, in the second year after Muslims migrated from Mecca to Medina. While fasting from dawn until sunset, Muslims refrain from consuming food, drinking liquids, and also refrain from sinful behavior that may negate the reward of fasting, such as false speech (insulting, backbiting, cursing, lying) and fighting also. Fasting for Muslims during Ramadan includes the increased offering of salat, recitation of Quran and an increase of doing good deeds and charity. This the month in which the Quran was revealed to the Islamic prophet Muhammad (SAW) by the Angel Gabriel in 610 CE .Fasting during this month is one of the five pillars of islam.our Prophet Muhammad (SAW)  told his followers that the gates of Heaven would be open for the entire month and the gates of Hell would be closed.

When Muhammad (SAW) was forty, He began to spend his time in solitude, thinking about those questions which troubled him, While do this he took the habit to pass all time in deep thinking in the cave of Hira, one year around 610 CE Muhammad went up Hire like others days, But on that day Angel Gabriel visited Who took hold Muhammad and commanded terrified man to Read. Muhammad was so afraid that he refused twice before actually asking what it was he supposed to read.

Then   Gabriel replied,    “Read ; in the name of thy Lord and cherisher, Who created man ,out of clot  of congealed blood, Read thy Lord is most Bountiful, Who taught by the Pen – Taught man that which he knew not.”
Then Gabriel proclaimed that I am angel of Allah, I am Gabriel.   Muhammad (SAW) ran down form cave the mount sides, and reached home where He told Hazrat Khadija what had happened, Then from Hazrat khadija‘s Christian relative  he was told that he had been chosen as a Prophet of God. Shortly after this Muhammad began to receive further revelations from Gabriel. According to Ahadiths the stories about Muhammad‘s Life all holy scriptures were sent down during Ramadan, making 30 days the holiest in the religion.

In this Holy month  during 30 days first 10 days are considered as days of “Mercy” next 10 days the days of “Forgiveness” and the  Final ten days are considered  days of “Nijat”some of most Holy, Specially,  The 27th night is of particular importance this is called “Night of Power” At this night Muhammad (saw) received his first revelation, and many Muslims this day praying and reciting the Quran.

Lialt-UL-Qadr this night is the prized jewel of Ramadan. This night carries more blessings than a thousand months. Muslims spend this night in prayers and meditation to make Dua to seek forgiveness for past  sins. There is a chance to cleansed of all sins and reborn again.  “Allah had made Lialt-UL-Qadar, this month As Allah says;  The night of Al-Qadar is better than thousand  months. There is descend the angles and the Rooh(Gabriel) by the Allah’s permission will all Dicrees, there is peace until the appearance of dawn”   AL-Qadar  97:1-5

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

Every action a son of Adam does shall be multiplied—a good action by ten times its value, up to 700 times. Allah says: With the exception of fasting, which belongs to Me, and I reward it accordingly. For, one abandons his desire and food for my sake.

There are two occasions of joy for a fasting person: one when he breaks his fast and the other when he meets his Lord, and the (bad) breath (of a fasting person) is better in the sight of Allah than the fragrance of musk. (Al-Bukhari)

Abu Saad Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (saw) said,

Anyone who fasts for one day for Allah’s sake, Allah will keep his face away from the Hellfire for (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet (saw) said,

The five (daily) prayers, and from one Friday prayer to the next, and from Ramadan to Ramadan are expiation for sins committed in between provided one stays away from the major sins. (Al-Bukhari)

Science and medicine today all confirmed that there are numerous Health Benefits to Fasting for a month in a year. As it is a great way to cleanse the stomach and also many Health benefits for Brain. And Fasting other side makes one appreciate more the pain of people living in poverty and conflict. However the Holy month of Ramadan also energies Muslims spiritually to contribute towards the humanitarian assistance for people living in appalling condition.

we can we be the best Umma when As we don’t live long enough and achieve the accomplishments that people who worshiped Allah for hundreds of years achieved? But  Because we have things like Layla al Qadr. We have things like the day of Arafa. Days like the days of Ashura.

Allah has given us so many opportunities. It’s a sign of Allah’s generosity and mercy. But one of the dangers is that when Allah is generous, if we don’t honor that generosity, we put ourselves in a very precarious position. It’s as if someone says: Here I’m giving you something. You say: Oh, thanks. And you throw it to the side. The person says: I just gave you that. Why do you throw it aside like that?

That’s not the way you should value it. When Allah gives us this opportunity, we have to value it. We have to take advantage of it. Maybe our salvation depends on it. Maybe Allah has decreed for us that this Ramadan will be that Ramadan our names are recorded in the record books of those who will be freed from the Fire. Maybe. Insha Allah. So we have to expose ourselves. So, now it’s our duty to take full advantage of the blessings of this Holy month.

At the end of Ramadan, Muslims throughout the world Muslims break their fast and celebrate their accomplishments in Eid ul-Fitr. This is actually the gift of Almighty Allah for after fasting month. Muslims pray the holiday prayer in congregation in the morning, visit family and friends, and celebrate over food, gifts and activities for children.
