New World Server Merges is coming soon

  • Amazon’s MMO New World continues to be very popular, and many players buy a lot of New World Gold in order to maintain their advantage in the game. In fact, New World has experienced some growing pains to reach this point. Over time, many players were scattered at the time of release, and free server transfers moved players from low-pop servers, leading to the need to merge servers as soon as possible. In the past month, Amazon has promised this. Now, Amazon Game Studios is ready to start the merger of these servers.

In an announcement issued on Friday, Amazon confirmed that New World’s first server merger will take place on December 8. The two servers Mardi and Brittia in New World’s EU Central server cluster will be merged on this date. Currently, Amazon has locked two servers to prepare for the merger to avoid losing player data during the conversion process. Players themselves will not be affected by the merger, although Mardi’s territorial ownership and contract will be kept to support Brittia’s current status quo. In order to welcome the merged server, players can Buy New World Coins.

Interestingly, neither Mardi nor Brittia are the New World servers with the smallest population in EU Central, because they are actually the healthiest servers in EU Central. There are about 200 servers in EU Central because it easily becomes the largest area in New World and is most affected by players leaving or transferring. Therefore, Mardi and Brittia seem to be the prime candidates for Amazon’s first real-time merger.

Based on the progress of the Mardi and Brittia merger, Amazon will draw many conclusions. On the one hand, does the server consolidation work as planned for a moderately sized server group? In addition, Amazon will see whether the server will flourish after the merger. If successful, it can speed up server consolidation. So players’ feedback on the merged server determines the next step. If more players join New World and want to trade on the trading post through New World Gold, this is good news for Amazon.

As mentioned earlier, Mardi and Brittia are nowhere near the least populated server in EU Central. There are hundreds of servers in all regions of the New World that need to be merged. Then once completed, many of the merged New World servers will need to be merged again. This will be a long process.

However, for now, New World players can pay close attention to the merger of Mardi and Brittia to see if Amazon’s process meets all expectations. Players can buy New World Gold at IGGM while waiting for the merger, which is a precautionary measure.
