BE THANKFUL...

  • ...You are probably reading this questioning what would I know about ‘thankfulness’, right? As for everyone’s interest, ‘thankfulness’ means that you’re grateful of whatever you possess. It can be anything or anyone in your life. One should learn to appreciate everything from the food he eats to the air he breathes. He also should learn to appreciate the difficulties that make him strong and the opportunities he is auspicious to have.

     Humans have this susceptibility to forget what is requisite. We all look forward to live in a better place but we do not know where that place is and how to find it. From my point of view, people are only attracted towards materialistic things and they know more about it instead of finding inner satisfaction and tranquility. In addition, until we as a society realize that, we will drag out to set ourselves up for unmanageable downfalls. People will lack mental health and mental peace.

    There are many days when I sit in silence, for a few minutes, eliminating all the distractions, I close my eyes and think about what blessing do I have that I am grateful for and who are those people in my life who make me feel grateful every day. You don’t have to do it everyday, but believe me, whenever you will practice this, you will genuinely be happy inside out.

    Now, the questions that would be rising in your minds must be ;

     Why should that be? Why is this exercise important?  How would this modest act of thinking about “what list of things” and “who are the people I’m grateful for” make such a big difference in my life?

    Following are a few reasons:-

    • For the reason that it emphasizes on to think about the positive stuffs in our life. It gives us a happy feeling to think about about people in our life, whether they’re our close friends, relatives or its just someone we met who was kind and good to us in any way.
    • For the reason that it turns negativity into positive things, all we have to do is to see things from a little different perspective. If you are facing problems at work? If we think it in a different way, I think you should be grateful that he you have work. If we wouldn’t have challenges our life would be boring, so this is also something to be thankful about. Be appreciative that you can face challenges from which you can learn because challenges and difficulties make us strong.
    • For the reason that it reminds us what and who is important. If you see and be thankful for great thing in your life, you’ll possibly forget about little things that are not falling into place like you want them. Like for example, it would be hard to whine about not having a son when you focus and be thankful that your daughter is born healthy and alive. If you will feel grateful about having a roof under your head instead of living a life of a homeless, you won’t complain about having to pay bills and taxes.
    • For the reason that it reminds you to bring change into someone’s life by showing them gratitude. You can bring a can make a big difference in any person’s life by just a simple deed of saying ‘thank you’ to them. If you choose to text them, email them, call them or just stop by to give them this kind gesture of saying ‘thank you’, will make them happy. It will just take a minute of your life to let them know that how much and why you are obliged towards them, but this one minute out of your life will make them realize that they are important to you. The truth is that people like it that they are being valued and acknowledged for their deeds and for who they are. It costs us nothing, but it can bring happiness to someone else. And making someone else happy will ultimately make us happy.

     Suggestions to Have a Life of Thankfulness
    The point is simple, it takes nothing from you if you do any acts of gratitude but they can make an enormous difference to the other person.

    • Offering prayers 5 times a day and reciting Qura’an are the best ways to be grateful to Allah for all the blessing HE has bestowed upon us.
    • Try to remember when anyone does anyone nice to you however small, be thankful to them whenever you meet them or try to be nicer or helpful to them if they are in any need.
    • Never feel shy to call to people or contact them through any means for saying ‘thank you’ to them. Sometimes, we are just sitting back and start thinking about how someone did something nice to you, how someone helped you out in worse situations of your life. When you do, just give that person a call to say you are thankful to him for all that he did for you. Let them know that you remember everything and you’re not ignorant of it and that you really appreciate it. It just takes a minute or two.
    • Be thankful for “negative” things in your life too. There’s always two sides of a coin, two ways to look at something. There are so many times and situations when u thing that nothing s going the right way, nothing is the way you want it to be. It gives you stress, difficulty, stress and discomfort. But if we just think about it the other way, you can bring positivity out of it. If you start feeling thankful about those hard times and situations, it is a great way to make yourself realize that there is good in everything. Problems that come to your way can be seen as chances to nurture, to make you strong and to be creative.

        Be thankful to ALLAH first of all, and after that to all your loved ones for all they do and they have done for you. Thank Allah, for the life He’s given to you for all the blessing He showers on you every day. Also, be thank to every stranger who’ve ever done little acts of kindness to you.  Thank people around the globe for everything they are doing and they have done to make this world a better place. Be grateful to yourself, for things you’ve done for yourself and for others and for what you  have learnt from hardships that came in your way, for never giving up, and for picking yourself up each time you fell because it’s also important to appreciate yourself as well.

    BE THANKFUL FOR EVERYTHING FOR YOUR PEACE OF MIND…
