Aerospace PAeC

  • AEROSPACE

Aerospace is human effort in science, engineering and business to fly in the Earth’s atmosphere called Aeronautic and surrounding space known as astronautics. Aerospace organizations research, design, operate, maintain or manufacture aircraft's or spacecraft’s.
Pakistan has the capability of designing and manufacturing guided rockets, missiles and space vehicles. The city of Kamra is home to the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex which contains several factories. This facility is responsible for manufacturing the MFI-17, MFI-395, K-8 and JF-17 Thunder aircraft. Pakistan also has the capability to design and manufacture both armed and unarmed  unmanned aerial vehicles.

Pakistan Aerospace Council (PAeC) is cluster organization active in the aerospace, defense and high tech electronics market. It is formed for global promotion of high value addition and high technology players of Pakistan, while meeting the national needs for technology acquisition as well as export-led, sustainable, growth of Pakistani Aerospace Industries.

PAec activities are focused around the key objectives like: Improving the image and profile of Pakistan’s High Tech Sector, Influencing the police debates and procedures of most importance to our industries, supporting Pakistan’s high value manufacturing and supply chains, Encouraging investments in technology and innovation, supporting business development opportunities in Global Market, Increasing member value, Sustainable growth of private sector High-tech in Pakistan.

PAeC supports the development of activation and related technologies, improves the visibility of the Pakistani aerospace globally aiming for a growing market share. In most of the industrial countries the aerospace industry is a cooperation of public and private industries. Several countries have a civilian space program funded by the government through tax collection such as NASA in the United States, ESA in Europe, and SUPARCO in Pakistan, CSA in Canada, ISRO in India, JAXA in japan, RKA in Russia, CNSA in China, ISA in Iran, and KARI in South Korea

The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex started with three main Ministry of Defense projects designated P-721, P-741 and P-751 .The first two digits show the year of project approval and launch, the third digit is a serial designator.

Since 1980s–90s, PAC functions include licensed-built Mirage-III, Mirage-5, and the F-16s as well as building the F100 engines for the F-16s under license from Prattand Whiteny.

The defense industry also called the military industry. Pakistan is among the few countries in the world that produce its own aircraft's. Thus, our aeronautical industry shares the likes of those in the US, France, China and Sweden.
