Storyline for the movie

Storyline

Characters:

• Ahad, 25ish (Main lead) Doctor, Previously working at NY General Hospital.

• Osama, 15-20 (Brother) Student

• Hamza, 25ish (Friend) Doctor

• Umair, 25ish (Friend)Doctor

• Ryan, 35ish, (Recruiter) NY General Hospital HR

Storyline:

Doctor arrives back from USA at January 15.

(Insert Plane Video)

Dr. Ahad arrives at his house. He arrives by car and is shown exiting his cab/uber etc.

He is shown taking a deep breath and proceeds to ring the doorbell. His brother osama comes out to meet him at the gate.

After meeting up and hugging they proceed inside the house where Ahad meets his Abbu & Ammi. They embrace him and ask him why he didn't inform them he was coming so that they could pick him up at the airport. He says he wanted to keep it a surprise.

He later tells them that he was fired from his job and instead of finding a new job he intends to stay and work in Pakistan. His Mother is delighted to hear this as she intends for him to stay in Pakistan close to her.

Fast-Forward to March 15

(Insert News Clippings of COVID-19 Situation in America)

At 1:00AM Ahad is contacted via Call by Ryan, the HR manager at NY General, asking if he would like his old job back with triple pay due to shortage of staff and to ease the burden. Ahad replies he will sleep on it and reply tomorrow. After the call ends he thinks about the better life he could have with money being offered and how no one in his family would have to work again if he takes up the job.

The next morning Ahad wakes up and first talks about it with father who advises him that he should not go but says it still up to Ahad but he should consult his mother before making a decision.

Ahad then proceeds to talk to his mother who turns emotional and tells Ahad that he was born to serve his nation and he should stay as Life > Money. She tells him that he should visit her workplace voluntarily start helping the sick there to understand how his nation needs his help.

Thinking about what his mother told him Ahad decides to visit a random nearby clinic/hospital. On Entering he sees the sick everywhere and patients are being rushed and can see medical staff under immense pressure, rushing and trying to attend to every patient around. Ahad turns emotional and during this time he receives a call from his friend Umair who works in NY General, saying that their friend Hamza has passed away due to the coronavirus. Umair then goes on to complain that only blacks and browns are being deployed in hospitals and are not being provided adequate medical equipment. Umair then talks about how he wants to leave but can't seeing how many people need his help in NY but reiterates how frustrating the current situation is.

When the call ends Ahad thanks God that he didn't leave and immediately dives into helping the patients around at that moment.
