The Beauty That Lies In the Mountains
Allah has blessed Pakistan with immense beauty, which lies in its diverse landscape, culture, art, music, literature and ethos etc. Our northern areas are richest in this regards as they house various beautiful and majestic features besides rich traditions. These are, indeed, asset of our homeland.
K2, which is also known as Mount Godwin-Austen or Chhogori, is prominent amongst these as it is the second highest mountain in the world, after Mount Everest, standing at 8,611 metres above sea level. Nanga Parbat, Hindu Kush, Gasherbrum, Tirich Mir are other significant mountains / mountain ranges. Their ice covered peaks and emanating springs which transform into gushy streams and lakes, the changing fauna with descending altitude add colour to the majestic natural beauty and give a serene and beautiful view.
It’s a great tourists’ attraction and an opportunity for Pakistan to cash on. The beauty which they see here, cannot be experience anywhere else in the world. A unique combination of purity, magnanimity and beauty is awaiting for our exploration and appreciation. May Allah SWT protect our homeland from evil eye / designs. Long live Pakistan.
