Annoying branches disappear under the trees in Animal Crossing

  • In Animal Crossing: New Horizons, trees not only shed fruit, every day there is also a branch under randomly selected trees. The branches can be helpful, especially at the beginning of the game, as they serve as material for many objects. But after a while, they can also get on your nerves. Especially when players have already designed their island in detail and the branches appearing at random disturb the overall picture. But with a simple trick you can prevent the branches from lying under the trees anew every day.

In the game, there is a maximum number of branches that trees can shed. The exact number cannot be quantified as it depends on the number of trees planted on the island. In our case with countless trees and conifers, there are 17 pieces. Trees do not shed more than this maximum number. And this is exactly where our tip lies: if players collect the branches and place them where they are not visible - for example behind houses or plateaus - they do not reappear elsewhere. Because the game registers that the maximum number of branches is already there. The good thing about the trick is that the branches can be collected again at any time if players need them as material.

Incidentally, the branches lying around are not recognized as garbage, as they are an integral part of the game. This means that they have no negative impact on the island's star rating.

The trick works with fossils as well

The tip with which the branches disappear also works with fossils. Every day four crosses appear somewhere on the island, under which the fossils are hidden. If players did not excavate all of them the day before, it can be up to six markings. And as with the branches, they sometimes disrupt the overall picture. If all fossils have already been collected and exhibited in the museum or if players simply don't feel like digging them up, they can be hidden. To do this, players simply bury six fossils in an invisible place behind houses, trees or a plateau. The game recognizes the maximum number and no longer displays any new markings. If the bones are needed again later, they can simply be dug up again here. The next day, new crosses appear on the ground.
