In my opinion movies and dramas should be, the accurate representatives of society and culture.
I believe what we consume intanggiblly (emotions, every thing we see and hear) impacts us both mentally and physically.
Along time ago pakistani movies showed culture, values, built people's mind and give knowledge of religion but unfortunately Today's Lollywood is just based on weird love triangles , vulgar romance and dance songs.
I don't understand what Lollywood wants to cultivate inside minds of people, is it the short dresses or teaching people how to make fool out of others or how to play with emotions.
Openly speaking , The Pakistani films are highly influenced by bollywood and this is the reason why they are losing their cultural identity.
Moreover they are hurting the sentiments of people.
For exampleIf you show a middle class character wearing full fashionable clothes and makeup this will impact on every single person who belongs to that class.They may think that the character potrayed on the screen is also a middle class but he/she has X, y, z all the things which they couldn't get this will make them feel despirit or this my provok them to get all those X, y, z things by any means, either right or wrong.
This is only one example, there are hundreds of examples which reveal the bad impact of content being showed by the present film industry.
The Only way to regain the lost cultural identity of Lollywood is to stop copying the Indian content . Our indusry should actually relearn the Two Nation Theory, this will help them to understand that we have our own identity, culture, religion, norms and values. So we should try to promote them.
