Contemporary time is for media. Everything is being transmitting to the public through any career of media Such as Social media, Television, Radio or newspapers. Digging out the news for public or gathering news material for broadcasting on mainstream is called “journalism”. Today, the body of journalism has been spoiled because of some lazy and irresponsible activities by journalists which are usually happen in the consequences of pressure by institute on journalists or not to investigate the news professionally. There are several factors which influence journalism. A research has been conducted to explore the reasons of transforming of journalism. It is concluded that transformed shape of journalism is Actually “Churnalism”. CHURNALISM” is transformed shape of journalism in which journalists relay on pre-packaged news, press releases, second hand information and already published news on different forums. The uses of unchecked news and recycling it by journalists which are given by reporters, news agencies and news organizations through their own findings, observations and investigations divert Journalism into “Churnalism”. Rather news making by journalists, journalists manage news flow and not committed to uncover truth and spread pseudo news. In case of presence of propaganda in any news which is published, Propaganda will be recycled after coming under the process of “Churnalism”. Journalists performed these activities regarding news gathering by getting influenced or because of unavailability of facilities which helps a journalist to make news authentic journalistically. Research revealed that journalist’s aim is to tell the truth, but they have already set agenda to cover specific news as media is strategic tool to manipulate information and a market to diversification of opinion by different news organization and media. Furthermore, Journalist is helpful for a journalist when a journalist cannot reach to cover news story or have burden of work to cover different news so that a journalist takes news material from news agencies for getting more detailed news for the same story a journalist is working on but getting news material from news agencies and without checking its material and construct news and publishing by his/her own name is quite unethical in journalism and a wrong practice. It has been proven in research that these practices enrich “Churnalism”. In Pakistan, Churnalism is being performed in the shadow of journalism. Well known journalists who are professionally serving in journalism have said that news is being manipulated but they also mentioned that news is authentic if it is being investigated and news making is processed by gathering all evidences and documents related to the news by not crossing the data of these documents and getting version of others as well, but such practices are very less in observation now a days.
A research which surrounds journalistic activities has clarify that most of the times, shape is given to the news according to journalist’s interest and priority to get some expectations from others or often keep silent to remain some truth hidden in the favor of someone.
