According to the Ukrainian law on auditing financial statements and audit activities, the quality control of audit services of audit entities is carried out by auditing whether the quality of audit services of audit entities meets international audit standards, independence and internal efficiency. The mandatory quality control of audit services involves the following aspects:
（1） Audit units that provide statutory audit services for the financial statements of large enterprises, banks, professional stock market participants and issuers of securities listing and trading or public issuance - once every three years;
2) An audit entity that provides services for the statutory audit of financial statements, in addition to the services specified in paragraph 1 of this part - every six years.
The audit service quality control of audit entities that have the right to legally audit the financial statements of public interest enterprises shall be carried out by the quality assurance inspection bureau of the public supervision and audit bureau.
The audit service quality control of audit entities providing services for the statutory audit of financial statements (except audit entities authorized to conduct statutory audit of the financial statements of public interest entities) is carried out by the Audit Office of Ukraine.
The audit service quality control of audit entities that do not provide services for the mandatory audit of financial statements is carried out on the initiative of the Audit Office of Ukraine.
