117 reported that they offered Jagex a compromise by removing their application once Jagex has released their own and RS Gold Buy also giving Jagex "collaborative influence" over Runelite HD's visual design.
"They refused to participate," 117 said. "I am beyond annoyed and dissatisfied with Jagex, and I am deeply sorry for this long journey it's not possible to give you the opportunity to share this idea with you.
The mod of 117 doesn't seem to be in conflict with Jagex's policies for third-party clients, however the Runescape developer has said it will be changing the guidelines in the coming week to include references to projects that alter the appearance of the game.
Original Runelite creator Adam1210 shared his views on Reddit in which he said that the decision to allow Runelite HD to continue would provide a benefit for future updates from Jagex.
"I also have a strong disagreement with including it in the "third group guidelines,"" Adam1210 said.
