The games will draw inspiration from RuneScape's fantasy world, Gielinor. The games will feature the characters, adventures OSRS Buy Gold, and locations they MMORPG has made famous throughout its lengthy history. The board game will send one or five people on a quest-based campaign through the lands of Gielinor.
According to the official announcement from Steamforged, players are expected to "craft and upgrade their equipment as well as upskill their characters make special dishes, communicate with NPCs, and test their abilities while exploring various regions of the globe". As with the multiplayer MMORPG, players can also encounter side-quests that enhance the world of the game.
Additionally, the TTRPG is expected to comprise the most beautiful and illustrated core book that contains all the information for players to run an RuneScape TTRPG. The players will be able to create their own characters as they set off on a journey into the world of Gielinor to make "unique and thrilling adventures". Furthermore the TTRPG primary book is "fully fully compatible with fifth edition ruleset of the world's favorite role-playing games for tabletop".
This venture is the first time RuneScape is available beyond a digital service which is something Jagex President Phil Mansell is excited about: "After almost 21 years of being only available digitally, we're extremely exciting to be collaborating with Steamforged to develop and bring RuneScape game-based adventures for tabletop games runescape 07 gold. I am certain that RuneScape or Old School RuneScape players will be excited to play with the miniatures planned to make their own adventures."
