NBA 2K MT uses NBA 2K22 to simulate the teams involved and predict which two teams will be playing in the final. There are two teams in the Final. NBA Playoffs are underway, with 16 teams competing in a head-to-head, best-of-seven tournament to determine who will become the 2022 NBA Champion. In the video game world, 2K Games attempts to predict the NBA Final, using NBA 2K22 to simulate the entire tournament, much as they did using NBA 2K21.
The simulation is generated by using an NBA Playoffs mode and entering all teams in their proper positions to accurately reflect the structure of the game in real life. NBA 2K22 then runs the games via an automated system. The system play out each playoff game and determines the winner of each round and then moving them to the next round.
The first round had few unexpected surprises as the power-house teams took down their foes with ease. The matchups featuring teams closer in the rankings were nail-biters and particularly the Mavericks and Jazz pairing, which went all seven games, with no participation from NBA 2K22 cover athlete Luka Doncic in the first game and two.
The most surprising thing
MT 2K22 is the seventh-seed Brooklyn Nets defeating the second-seed Boston Celtics in six games in part because the Celtics are on a 2-0 roll in the opening round. The one prediction that is closest to being fulfilled is the Philadelphia 76ers beating their way through the Toronto Raptors, as the game is currently 3-0 Philadelphia's advantage.
